Founder

Marc founded HireStarter in 2001 after a career not just in technical recruiting but in software development and consulting as well. His diverse background has helped him relate to clients and candidates uniquely because he has actually held, or worked closely with people who have held, most of the roles that HireStarter works to fill.

While Marc considers himself a “lapsed software developer” (he held technical roles at IBM and Trilogy Software prior to founding HireStarter), he continues to find new ways that technology can aid in the recruiting process. To that end, he has developed a unique, patent-pending technology platform that helps HireStarter more efficiently find the right people for each role.

When Marc isn’t living and breathing recruiting, he can usually be found under one of his classic cars, running around Ladybird Lake, taking advantage of the live music scene, or dining with his wife and young daughters at one of their many favorite South Austin restaurants.
